Claims and Underwriting

All claims and underwriting are handled at Head Office and not at branch level, in order that we have complete control over policies being issued and claims being reported and settled. This allows everything to be monitored by head office which cuts out any incorrect policy issuing or possible fraudulent claims.

CODE OF ETHICS - THE IBC REQUIRES OF ITS MEMBERS

    1. To conduct their business in good faith and with integrity;

 

    1. To honour the confidentiality of all information communicated to, or obtained by the member

 

    1. Where business entails the assessment or acceptance or any risk by an underwriter, to obtain all material information from the client and to communicate the same to the underwriter;

 

    1. To render services or advise only in connection with matters or products about which the member is informed and knowledgeable

 

    1. Not ever to act in a manner which may harm the image of the IBC or its members

 

  1. To adhere to this code, the constitution of the IBC and to any other relevant statutory enactment.
